New Didymos Colorway

October 21st, 2009 by Neptunebaby

I am in love with the new Didymos colorway – Lillies Amethyst. What I wouldn’t do for an extra $185 right now.

Isn’t it beautiful?

You can check out all the new Didymos (woven wrap) colorways at Birdies Room.

I got fluffy mail yesterday! Here are the latest two babywearing items :)

This is the Mei Tai I got from So Smart Baby (through the Green Baby Bargains widget on my sidebar):

bss-2

bss-3

And this is my Didymos Lavendel Indio 4.8m wrap:

indio-2

They are both so beautiful. I am so happy to have them.

ISO: Gold Indio

September 29th, 2009 by Neptunebaby

I have been searching the babywearing FSOT boards (my three fav’s – all which can be found on my blogroll) all day long. I desperately need a woven wrap! Until today, I haven’t found a wrap that was on a FSOT board that I totally fell in love with. Don’t get me wrong, there are plenty of wraps that I love, but nothing I have found on the FSOT boards that I loved the price on also. Well, I am over the moon about a Didymos Gold Indio Limited Edition. I must have it. I contacted the seller, but still waiting for a response. I have no patience! I’m hoping for some fluffy mail in the very near future. *fingers crossed*

My Latest Obsession

September 19th, 2009 by Neptunebaby

I am obsessed with searching for wraps to buy. There are three in particular that I want right now and I feel as if I cannot live without them. I’ve been spending so much time on the FSOT board at The Baby Wearer (link on my blogroll if you’re interested) that I think I may go blind from searching.

My first love: Storchenwiege! I want either an Inka or a Lilly

Inka:

Lilly:

My next love and probably the one I will get first – Didymos. I want a Lavender Silk Ellipsen.. and here it is. (Sorry I couldn’t find a good action picture, but the swatch alone is enough to drool over).

Girasol. I’m not sure which one I want, but I’m fond of Magnolia.

Thank you to Slings I Love for providing the pictures of Storch and Girasol – who, by the way, also sells other baby products such as baby legwarmers, diaper bags and outerwear. Layaway available!

More About Babywearing

September 4th, 2009 by Neptunebaby

Have you not tried babywearing yet? You must! It’s the best way to carry your baby or toddler. Heck, they are so secure (if you get the right kind.. ask me if you are unsure) that I’ve even jokingly put my 11 year old son in my sling. Even men are starting to wear their babies! You want proof? Here you go:

Liev Schreiber wearing his baby:

Wear your baby!

Here is a wrap I highly recommend: A Didymos. You can do so many different carries with a Didy! And a few ways to use it.

Hip Carry (for toddlers or infants with good head/neck control):

Front Wrap Cross Carry (for any age):

Rucksack Carry with a Twist: (This is a Storch Inka, not a Didymos, but it’s another FAV of mine)

You can do any of these carries with any type of wrap if it’s long enough. Many people start with a Moby Wrap. It’s the most widely known and least expensive. I, personally, didn’t like my Moby Wrap because it’s pretty thick and starts sagging after a while, but it’s your preference. Some people love their Moby Wraps.

If you want a good place to start looking at different types of wraps, try the FSOT Board over at The Babywearer. But consider yourself warned.. you will become addicted to surfing this board and will start wondering what you can sell on eBay or Craigslist just so you can buy your next carrier or wrap! If you have ANY questions at all about babywearing please email me.
