I am really looking forward to getting a new Babyhawk Mei Tai baby carrier. Did you know that you can design your own right on the site? There are so many fabulous designs to choose from! It’s fully customizable from the strap colors to the patterns. You can have a pattern on only one side, or both to make it reversible. You can also choose a minkee lining for the inside if you live in a place where the weather is cold. I wouldn’t recommend this option if you live in warm climate. You can also choose from the carriers that are in stock. I’ve never designed my own before so I’m really excited about it! I think Babyhawk is the perfect carrier because it’s simple and very versatile. You can wear your child from newborn to toddler in the same carrier.
Here are a few photos from the gallery to give you an idea of what they have to offer:

My babywearing baby! I had nothing to do with this. My hubs was playing in her playroom with her while I was doing some work for school this afternoon and she comes out wearing her baby in a rucksack. LOL. I guess my hubs knows what he’s doing!

And some other random pics
Hubs and Lil-bit (that is Elizabeth’s nick name) playing on the computer

My new hair!!! Today is the first time I’ve ever had my hair colored professionally. I have always done it myself (and just one color)

I see so many mommy’s spending tons of money on strollers; single strollers, umbrella strollers, travel systems, jogging strollers, double strollers. I have learned that it is so much easier and comforting for your infant or toddler to toss them in a Ring Sling, a Mei Tai, a Wrap or a Soft Structured Carrier. There are so many different ways to wear your baby and it so much more comfortable for mom and child. It keeps you connected with your child, not to mention it’s so much easier to throw a wrap or a sling in a diaper bag than it is to fold up that heavy, bulky stroller and lug it all over the place. And, if you’re a nursing mom, it’s so easy to nurse in public in a sling. People won’t even know what’s going on under there. Even bottle feeding is easier in a sling. I would have to recommend a SBP Ring Sling for a wonderful, inexpensive and convenient sling. It was my first Ring Sling (after giving away the Moby Wrap that I didn’t like). Strollers can’t do that. Now, I’m not saying that I don’t have a stroller, but do I use it as much as I babywear? Heck, no.
If you’ve ever considered babywearing or are intrigued by it at all, this is a great place to start. It shows the different options you have and how to use the carrier of your choice.
Oh, and let me just say this. Babywearing isn’t what it once was. Baby Bjorn is what everyone used to buy to carry around their baby, but I must say that it is not at the top of my list for recommended carriers. And I must warn you.. once you start babywearing, you won’t be able to stop. You also won’t be able to stop looking at all the FSOT (for sale or trade) boards in search of your next “score!”
This is my favorite purchase so far – Chicken Scratch Ring Sling. Retails for $85 and I got it for $35 including shipping from Canada no less.
